- In order to operate lawfully, under the Private Hire Vehicles (London) Act 1998 (the 1998 Act) Eco Trip cars Ltd accepts only a booking from a passenger is required to enter as principal into a contractual obligation with the passenger to provide the journey which is the subject of the booking.
- To comply with the 1998 Act, Eco Trip Cars Ltd therefore contract directly with passengers and must do so on their own behalf as opposed to on behalf of someone else (e.g. a driver). Contracting with passengers as “principal” means that operators must be legally responsible for the provision of the journey (or transportation or delivery services).
- It is contrary to Eco Trip Cars ltd operator statutory role, and against the interests of public safety, for London PHV operators to transfer responsibility for the provision of private hire services onto others, such as drivers.
- Please note that bookings must be pre-booked through Eco Trip Cars ltd operator via online form or call centre, not by driver. Eco Trip Cars ltd will provide a booking confirmation to a passenger.
- Free waiting time.
- Prices are based on passengers being ready to travel at the booking time.
- There is a charge for additional stops. Generally £5 per stop (not diversion). When making a booking you may let us know in the comment box or ask us before you book by contacting us and letting us know where you need to stop (postal code if possible).
- Online booking payments will not be extra charge.
- Cash payments are to be made to the driver and credit card payments should be made with the booking.
- When you book we will take your flight number and scheduled arrival time so that we are able to monitor your flight for any delays.
- You may advise us on the age of the baby when making a booking in the comment box so we can provide the right size of baby seat. We offer seats for children up to 3 years old.
- Our saloon and estate cars are insured for hire and reward for maximum of 4 passengers.
- Our MPVs & 8 Seaters (Multi people Carrier) are insured for maximum of 7 Passengers.
- We reserve the right to refuse any passenger our services due to passenger having excess luggage which would result in the vehicle unsafe on the road.
- Cancellations must be made prior to pick up time within two hours within London areas and outer areas will require 4 hours cancellation notification.
